Being a web designer my slowest months usually are October and November. Most businesses have finished their holiday promotions by then and it’s too early for them to think about the rest of the year.

This year as been an anomaly for almost everyone and I’m hoping that the upturn I’ve experienced since the middle of July will continue.

I’m not taking any chances, though. I have attended quite a few more networking events than in previous years. I have also been in contact with most of my past and present clients and offered a referral reward. Usually I can offer them some free work, website hosting or occasionally cash.

I’m also commenting on other blogs, like my friend Barb’s here and posting comments that I hope will add something positive to the conversation. That way other people can get an idea of my abilities and follow the link back to my site.

I have been joining a lot of clubs…ie, toastmasters, red hat club, small group from church… I accept almost every invitation that comes my way – AS WELL AS, I started a support group for small business people. We meet once a week – it’s all positive. Everyone sets goals for the following week and we talk about our success/failure of previous week goals. AND, I attended your free webinar last week. Enjoyed it a LOT.
